This is another one about death and the transience of life...quite cheery, wasn't I?...
In my garden
In my garden
death is common
though seldom ever seen
the ants carry
the reminders along
their trails
and remnants
in tattered spider-webs
shiver in the breeze
empty snail shells
by the path
the afterdeath debris
dried insect husks
and dessicated worms
a solitary butterfly wing
death is common
in my garden
but the dying is unseen
